In addition to our core leadership team, we work with a growing army of dedicated Regional Ambassadors and State Ambassadors who are helping Mission 22 every day in the fight to heal our nation’s warriors.

Sara Johnson - CEO

A Daughter of the Revolution (with family members having served in every conflict since the revolutionary war), Sara Johnson has taken up the family torch with an innovative approach to aiding veterans. Growing up in a family of warriors, she has seen firsthand the way battle affects those who serve - from the positive aspects of being part of a community to the realities of post-traumatic stress. What started as a personal mission to support her Green Beret husband through his own struggles with transitioning out of the military, has turned into a national charge to end Veteran suicide in America.

Magnus Johnson - Creative Program Director

Magnus Johnson is a former Green Beret who served in 36 months of combat deployments. He is an adventurer, a family man, a writer, and an artist. His team has inspired thousands of peers and strangers alike to take up the cause, and he has orchestrated the completion of an immense steel-plate monument in remembrance of veterans who have taken their own lives. Johnson has been awarded a Bronze Star Medal for Exceptionally Meritorious Service in Combat, and a Congressional Record in the Indiana House of Representatives for Service to Country and Community. Johnson’s sights are set on adding value to team projects and being part of solutions to complex human issues.

Cindy Stinson - Ambassador program director

Cindy started with Mission 22 when it was still located in Nashville, IN. She saw what a huge impact our first sculpture “Soaring” was having on the veteran community by getting them involved in the project. She has been married to a Navy veteran for 27 years and fully understand the struggles that veterans face after their time at war, so joining Mission 22 was personal for her and a perfect fit.
